A young entrepreneur who travels between London, Bahrain and the USA for business had recently exchanged on a property in Belgravia in only 5 days.
Only a week ago a property in Chesham Street came to the market with the asking price of £1,495,000, which was originally on in the spring at a much higher price, with another agent. The property, a beautiful one-bedroom apartment has the feel of a loft-style penthouse. It has a combination of exposed, varnished beams with white walls, and a sleek, modern looking kitchen.
The buyer, who had recently entered a bidding war over one of our properties, yet ended up pulling out as he refused to enter a contract race. That property ultimately was sold well over asking price. As he was a loyal applicant, he was made aware of the Belgravia property when we took it on.
The vendor decided second time around to remarket the property at the lower price of £1,495,000 and instructed three agencies on a multiple agency basis. The vendor was determined to sell the property, and price was almost second to the speed of sale. It was because the buyer was prepared to exchange within 5 working days that secured him the property and it wasn’t the money that made him the perfect buyer, yet the speed at which he was willing to exchange.
He flew over to London within two days to view it. He viewed the property three times in three days and agreed the terms before leaving the UK at the end of the week.
